Which one is a better buy?
Both Viacom and HP are good stocks to buy in 2022. However, in the short term, HP has better odds of giving higher gains. Over the last few days, HP has been outperforming the broader market by a huge margin. This has a lot to do with its earnings release, scheduled for 28th Feb. If the results come out positive, HP could enter March in strong gains.
HP is also a dividend-paying stock, a factor that could see it draw in investors now that the markets are shaky. With the Ukraine crisis and an upcoming rates hike, dividend-paying stocks are likely to attract more attention all through 2022.
