Anacove expands hotel toilet leak detector availability to combat hidden profit loss from water waste

Anacove, the hotel-focused developer of AI-enabled energy and operations management software solutions, announced today it is expanding availability of its Toilet Leak Detector to meet surging demand from hoteliers eager to eliminate hidden water waste, reduce utility costs, and protect operating margins.

“Toilet leaks translate into increased water costs for a hotel owner that silently eat into hotel profits every day,” said Ian Lerner, CEO of Anacove.

“After seeing measurable energy savings from our Smart Thermostats, hotel owners are now turning to our Toilet Leak Detectors to plug another critical source of loss.”

Already installed in thousands of hotel rooms across the United States, Anacove’s Toilet Leak Detector integrates seamlessly into the company’s unified, AI-powered energy management platform. The system sends automated maintenance alerts the moment slow leaks are detected — leaks that can waste 100 to 2,000 gallons of water per day per toilet.

According to Lerner, in typical hotels older than three years, up to 20% of toilets are leaking at any given time, driving up water bills and draining resources. Anacove’s technology eliminates the need for routine manual inspections, freeing maintenance teams to focus on guest-impacting priorities while preventing costly waste.

“Anacove is redefining what total energy management looks like,” said Lerner. “With one connected dashboard, hoteliers get monthly flash reports that capture everything — HVAC performance, thermostat efficiency, and real-time toilet leak data — in one place, from one vendor.”

Unlike fragmented systems that rely on multiple vendors and disconnected AI tools, Anacove’s single, cloud-connected platform acts as the operational “brain” of the hotel, continuously analyzing data and generating insights that improve efficiency and the guest experience alike.

“This is real-world AI — practical, profitable, and purpose-built for hospitality,” Lerner added.

“When energy savings and operational improvements are this clear, the ROI speaks for itself.”
