Digital Matter Appoints Loic Barancourt as Chief Executive Officer to Lead Next Phase of Global Growth

Digital Matter, global leaders in IoT hardware solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Loic Barancourt as Chief Executive Officer.

This strategic leadership transition positions the company for accelerated innovation and expansion across global markets.

Barancourt is a seasoned leader with a deep background in IoT, telecommunications, and enterprise technology, having successfully scaled businesses, driven innovation, and led major industry transformations. He brings over 15 years of experience in executive leadership, strategy, and commercial growth across global markets.

Most recently, Loic served as Group Chief Commercial Officer at UnaBiz, where he led substantial international growth. Prior to that, he was Founder & CEO of Thinxtra, a pioneering APAC IoT business, which he grew from inception. His career also includes sales leadership roles at NetComm Wireless and Sagemcom. With a strong engineering background and a passion for leveraging technology to drive real-world impact, Loic is well-positioned to lead Digital Matter into its next phase of global expansion and innovation.

This appointment enables Ken Everett, Digital Matter’s Founder and outgoing CEO, to focus full-time on driving innovation across the company’s IoT hardware portfolio.

Digital Matter would also like to welcome John Scott as the new Chair of the Board. With over 20 years of executive and board experience, Scott has a strong track record of scaling businesses across the IoT, electronics, and asset tracking sectors.

Most recently, Scott was CEO at Invenco by GVR, leading the company through significant growth and innovation. Prior to that, he spent over a decade at Navico, holding multiple C-suite roles focused on strategy, product development, and global market expansion in marine electronics. His career also includes leadership roles at Navman, and a background in engineering—giving him a deep technical foundation that aligns well with Digital Matter’s commitment to innovation.

Ken Everett, Founder, commented:

“Loic’s leadership experience and deep industry knowledge make him the perfect fit to lead Digital Matter into the future. His commercial acumen, technical background, and track record of scaling high-growth businesses align perfectly with our vision. With Loic at the helm, I’m excited to dedicate my time to driving innovation and expanding our product portfolio to best serve our customers.”

Loic Barancourt added:

“Digital Matter has built an incredible reputation for delivering best-in-class IoT asset tracking solutions. Having been a reseller of Digital Matter’s trackers for leading enterprise customers, I’ve seen firsthand the quality, reliability, and innovation that set the company apart. I’m thrilled to join the team and work alongside Ken and the talented people at Digital Matter to drive the next phase of growth, expand into new markets, and continue delivering world-class solutions to our customers.”
