Bitcoin startup ZEBEDEE and mobile game studioVIKER has partnered in a deal that aims to bring crypto rewards to the people via a play-to-earn (P2E) initiative, the Bitcoin Magazine reported on Monday.
The collaboration will allow fans of three classic video games – Solitaire, Sudoku and Missing Letters – a chance to play and earn Bitcoin (BTC).
The partnership with VIKER continues the growing relationship between the P2E platform and Bitcoin-only gaming firm ZEBEDEE. Part of the collaboration has already seen in-game sat rewards come to three titles – Wheel of Trivia, Balls King and Amazeballs.
Earlier this month, ZEBEDEE raised $35 million from various investors to expand its gaming ecosystem, with its fast-growing presence highlighted by the high caliber backers, including Square Enix Entertainment, Kingsway Capital, and Raine Group.
Earn sats, withdraw or spend
According to a press release the two firms released on Tuesday, players of the vastly popular games will earn bitcoin directly via ZEBEDEE. The teams behind Solitaire, Sudoku, and Missing Letters will use Lightning Network to reward users, with the sats sent via the ZEBEDEE mobile app.
For the general public, the partners say there will be no need for one to be crypto-savvy or tech-savvy to benefit.
Once they earn their bitcoin reward, players can choose to spend it within the ZEBEDEE virtual economy, or withdraw to spend elsewhere. The ZEBEDEE app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
